As a pure electric coupe, the P7i has been upgraded in all aspects of performance and handling. The vehicle uses a full mid-mounted motor design, keeping the center of gravity in the middle of the vehicle, which is the same as the mid-mounted engine of traditional supercars.The 2WD version of the P7i has a maximum power of 203kW with a peak torque of 440Nm, while the 4WD version has a maximum power of 348kW with a peak torque of 757Nm. The 4WD model accelerates from 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds, which is already at the level of conventional fuel performance cars. The new Driver Mode adjusts the 4WD torque distribution infinitely according to the road conditions in real time, so that the vehicle can be better controlled during fast cornering without pushing the head and tail. At the same time, the dashboard and center screen display will change in this mode, with a red-colored interface giving the driver a stronger desire to control the car.
In addition to faster acceleration, the P7i also needs stronger brakes. The vehicle is equipped with Brembo brakes as standard, which stop at 33.3m per 100km. The front virtual main pin double-wishbone rear five-link suspension provides both handling and comfort, and the SACHS shock absorbers provide good support, allowing the driver to feel the adrenaline rush while ensuring safety.
The two major bottlenecks that prevent the popularization of new energy vehicles today are range anxiety and safety hazards. For the former, Xpeng's solution is a faster replenishment speed: the P7i 2WD version supports a 240KM range in 10 minutes of charging; the 4WD replenishment is 210km, and it takes only 29 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80%. For northern users, the low temperature in winter will lead to range discount, P7i is equipped with X-HP2.0 Integrated Thermal Management System as standard, even in the northern winter, the vehicle can absorb heat from the environment, motor, battery, domain controller, self-driving computer and other heating elements, the system will then bring the energy to the place that needs to be heated the most. The integrated thermal management system allows the P7i to be "universal in both North and South", solving the anxiety of the tram's range being reduced.
As for the safety hazard of the battery, P7i is equipped with non-heat spreading technology battery as standard, with 3mm thickness of aerogel heat insulation between the battery cells, so that when thermal runaway occurs, it can be achieved for an unlimited period of time without any open flame, and it is important to know that the national standard for this item is 5 minutes. In addition, the battery pack shell has also been upgraded, the upper shell changed to sheet metal, the lower shell increased steel plate, in the event of a collision, the strong shell can play a good role in absorbing energy, so that the battery cell from infringement. At present, the most worrying thing for consumers of pure electric models is battery safety, fire problems occur repeatedly, but Xpeng focuses on protection in this regard, and attaches great importance to the personal safety of consumers.
Although the three electric and intelligent system is the core of P7i's upgrade, but the appearance of the vehicle inherited the coupe gene at the same time to upgrade the details. p7i's coupe styling is in line with the young people's psychology of showing off their personality. The five-spoke two-tone wheels with prominent rear wheel arches give it a sporty feel not unlike that of a traditional performance car. It is worth mentioning that the electric suction door in people's impression is a configuration only for high-end cars, but Xpeng P7i will be equipped as standard in the whole system, when there is a family member or a child resting inside the car, the electric suction door can be closed silently, which is very practical and considerate.

The new E28a steering wheel button area is more concise and clear, the circle cross-section area is raised to 42.5mm*29.5mm, and a new 1.5mm cushion padding is added to make the grip feel fuller and richer.
